As We Close Out The Year …
Dear Beloved and Faithful Parishioners,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! As we finish out this year, I wanted to make sure I had the opportunity to communicate to you how grateful I am for your part in the Lord’s work here at St. Benilde Church. It is hard to believe that we are celebrating 54 years as the smallest territorial parish in the Archdiocese of New Orleans (only one square mile). God has done great things for us we continue to remain faithful to the mission and ministry entrusted to our care.
As this year winds to a close, I simply
wanted to send you a quick email to remind you of four amazing things that happened at our parish this year.
These are directly related to the investment of time, talent, and treasure which our parishioners have made in the mission of our Church family.
Our beloved school, the largest ministry of our parish, is celebrating
of Catholic education and formation
on these hallowed grounds. What a wonderful moment in time to thank God for the blessings and graces of truly authentic Catholic education and to recommit ourselves to the mission and ministry of the Church in forming our children into joyful, missionary disciples of the Lord Jesus.
It is exciting to see so many children growing in their faith and connecting with the message of Jesus!
Our St. Vincent de Paul Society has helped an unbelievable number of individuals with food, Thanksgiving baskets, Christmas gifts, rent and utility payments, and so much more! This is a testimony to your generosity to the poor and marginalized in our parish.
It truly warms my heart to see tears of joy when we are able lighten the burden for so many families!
Our new Grotto to our Blessed Mother is nearing completion!
What a wonderful testimony to the love and devotion that so many in our parish have for our Lady. We ask for her special intercession as we enter into 2019 ... that like Mary, we may be able to say "the Lord has done great things for me and holy is His name!"
Our Christmas Masses have made a real impact on people’s lives. In the past few days, I have received several emails from people telling me about the huge difference it made in their lives.
From the beauty of the worship, to the hospitality of the people, to the distribution of Christmas books to the adults and gifts for the children, God is using our parish to impact all kinds of people!
Thank you! Thank you for being a part of what God is doing through our parish family. Your giving to St. Benilde this year has made all the difference.
Let us join together and pray that God will open the heavens and continue to meet the needs of our Church. I am fully aware that every dollar given to the Lord at St. Benilde represents a step of faith and sacrifice. Because of this, I assure you that, to the very best of our ability, we are good stewards of the Lord's funds while pursuing our mission with faith and passion.
As we come into these last few days of the year, I am wondering if you would be willing to make a final gift to the mission of St. Benilde Church?
We rely on faithful giving from people like you, and your gift
today would help us start 2019 off strong.
It would be a blessing if you could give a gift as we ring in the New Year!
Contributions can be made online, by mail, or dropped in the collection basket during Mass.

Thank you for your generosity
! May the Christ Child bring you peace and joy!
